ARTIC – Texte aus der fröhlichen Wissenschaft

Schleifpapier, Fliegengitter, Wischlappen oder Jeans – so ungewöhnlich wie seine Umschlagmaterialien ist auch das Innenleben des Zeitschriftenprojekts ARTIC.
Jede Ausgabe (à 1000 Exemplare) versammelt bislang unveröffentlichte Texte & Bilder (Essays, Prosa, Gedichte, Grafiken, Fotos etc.) bekannter und weniger bekannter Urheber zu einem jeweils wechselnden Thema. Das pro Ausgabe eigens entwickelte Layout, der handgemachte Umschlag und von Künstlern direkt ins Heft gearbeitete Seiten vervollständigen das Konzert der unterschiedlichen Disziplinen. ARTIC ist ein Non-Profit-Projekt, erscheint alle zwei Jahre und wird von einem zurzeit siebenköpfigen Redaktionsteam aus Dortmund, Mülheim, Bremen und London realisiert.

Sand paper, fly screen, mop cloth or jeans – as unusual as the materials of its cover is the interior of the ARTIC magazine project. Each issue – with a run of 1000 copies – brings together previously unpublished essays, prose, poetry, graphics, photos, prints etc. of well-known and lesser-known authors who respond to the changing theme of each issue. A layout developed for each issue, the handmade cover, and creations worked  by artists directly into the magazine pages complete the concert of the different disciplines. ARTIC is a non-profit project, published every two years and currently realised by a seven-person editorial team from Dortmund, Mülheim, Bremen and London.
